Welcome to Great Leighs
Draw Advantage:
There is no obvious draw advantage so far.
A left-handed, all-weather circuit with two sweeping two furlong bends and straights of approximately two furlongs. There are chutes for races of seven furlongs, a mile and two miles.
Great Leighs became the UK's first new racecourse in 80 years when opening in 2008.
The track will stage racing all year round - from summer days to floodlit winter nights - and also offer extensive entertainment packages, with bars and restaurants open long after racing has finished. In the spirit of the old Essex County Showground, outdoor events and concert extravaganzas are also planned.
