Welcome to Bangor
National Hunt only. Predominently circular in nature, measuring about a mile and a half, this picturesque left-handed circuit has a run-in of 325 yards. Apart from a couple of minor dips it is almost flat, with three sharp bends, notably on the paddock turn. Compact nippy sorts do well here, especially front-runners.
This is one of only two courses in Wales, the other one being Chepstow in the south. It is the only track in the U.K. without a permanent stand and is a good example of a rural country venue catering to the true enthusiast. Beware though, as many a person has been caught out by the name and travelled to Bangor in Caernarfonshire, so remember this is the one by the River Dee in Clwyd.
