Rules and Player Information for 2009
By entering Tipster Challenge, entrants agree to abide by the game Rules and Terms & Conditions.

1. How and When to Play
Tipster Challenge is open for registered players to make selections for each of the 26 races of the 2008 Cheltenham Festival from 14.00 GMT the day before to 30 minutes before the first race. You must first register a Tipster Challenge account to play. Players can enter selections during the following entry windows:

14.00 GMT Monday 9/03/09 to 1300 GMT Tuesday 10/03/09 for racing on Tuesday
14.00 GMT Tuesday 10/03/09 to 13.00 GMT Wednesday 11/03/09 for racing on Wednesday
14.00 GMT Wednesday 11/03/09 to 13.00 GMT Thursday 12/03/09 for racing on Thursday
14.00 GMT Thursday 12/03/09 to 13.00 GMT Friday 13/03/08 for racing on Friday

2. Aim of the Game
The aim of the game is to generate the largest bank by the end of each day and to win the overall prize, the Festival as a whole.

Scores will be determined with the placing of an imaginary £1 stake on each of your selections in the six races per Festival day. There is no outlay from your 'bank' for stakes as each entrant receives a free £1 bet per race. Once the "weighed in" result is called after a race, we will settle all 'bets' on the winning horse based on the Starting Price (SP).

Stakes are not included your the returns and there are no returns for horses who finished placed or are declared as Non Runners subsequent to you making your selections.

For example: If the horse that you selected wins at a returned SP of 3/1, £3 will be added to your Tipster Challenge bank. If your horse fails to win, you will not win or lose anything. If your horse is a non-runner then you won't be able to change your selection.

3. Prizes
Prizes (as detailed below) are available to win on each day of the Festival. The winner each day will be the player who generates the largest Tipster Challenge bank balance, similarly the overall prize winner will be determined by the person who generates the largest bank balance throughout the Festival as a whole.

To win the overall prize you must enter the competition on all four days of The Festival. You will be able track your progress with our leaderboards.

In the event of a tie of identical betting banks, the editor of sportinglife.com will conduct a random draw of all of the tied winners to determine who takes the prize.

4x Daily Winners:

4. Entry Restrictions
Only one entry is allowed per person and multiple entries will be disqualified. The competition is open to all UK, Isle of Man, Channel Island residents, aged 18 or over. Employees (or family members of employees) of Sporting Life UK Ltd, British Sky Broadcasting Group plc (or any of its group companies or affiliates), or anyone associated with this competition may not enter.
